After the full on Forster fishing experience back in March it was good to be ...
Heads up anglers – an important Safety Alert!
We are currently monitoring weather and sea conditions that may affect the Mako Round Three this coming Sunday 5th February. Broken Bay will be affected by swells up to 3.5 metres in coming days, swells that may still be present on the weekend. Such swells will make for adverse conditions around Barrenjoey Headland, West Head, Lion Island, Box head and the entry to Brisbane Waters.
All anglers should be aware if there may be exclusion zones placed on any of these (or other) areas if conditions persist. We will advise anglers at the briefing of any changes to Out of Bounds area’s.
In the meantime remember your safety is paramount and if your pre-fishing over the next few days please consider the conditions carefully and make appropriate decisions. Putting your life at risk trying to punch your way into Brisbane Waters for a few 23cm bream is really not worth it!

in the case of the boundry being made as the mouth of pittwater what happens if the anglers chose as a result of this that they would rather NOT, 70 odd teams in pittwater would be a joke.
will it be a case of bad luck youve paid or will you move thier payment to next round, I already think I know the answer but others may not, ive heard some are already thinking of not going due to the weather

Hi Greg
Thanks for noting the Safety Alert. As indicated in the alert boundaries will be determined by prevailing conditions with the safety of anglers being of paramount concern.
For those anglers who have concerns regarding the conditions they can either choose to wait until the briefing to find out the exact boundaries or make the decision not to attend now based on the various forecasts and predication’s widely available.
The implications – withdraw before the day will incur a 20% penalty if your require a refund or you can roll over your entry to the next round without penalty. Withdraw on the day of the event and the team will forfeit their entry fee.
That said the forecast for the event on Sunday is improving all the time (could be the only sunny day for weeks!) and at this point it is unlikely there will be any restrictions. I’m sure you, Dave and the Allison will be able to go where-ever you want!
Hope that helps.

mainly a clarification for others as I said there have been a few talking not attending due to weather, this should make them think seriously about not doing this as stated they will forfeit some or all of thier entries.
